Teenage girls in Kings Cross can join in a whole host of activities ranging from street
dance to health and beauty sessions, thanks to a new girls’ group at OneKX.
The group meets weekly to take part in fun and sociable activities and always welcomes new members. Children and youth programme manager at the centre, Stuart Woods
said: “We have an activity for an hour followed by a chill out session.
“We welcome any girls between 11 and 15 to come along and give it a try – there’s
no obligation to come back but many do.”
A local fashion designer, Giaroye, is currently hosting sessions which involve designing
and personalising clothes, logos and prints. The group meets every Friday evening at
OneKX on Cromer Street from 5-7pm. During the Easter holidays girls will get
the chance to try out their photography skills as part of a partnership project funded
by The London Transport Museum. You can get more information about
OneKX by phoning 020 7520 3070 or visiting onekx.org.uk

Team Giaroye having a quick walk before they get down to business..........................
Why search far and beyond for inspiration when amazing entities can be found right here in one of London’s great natural garden attractions.
Kew gardens providing a diversity of scenic views and unusual exotic plants from all over the world, Giaroye took this as an opportunity to explore and embrace the elements and features both natural and wild on display. The intense, pure and vibrant colours which these unique and exotic plants radiated and the quirkiness of the designs defiantly left us leaving with thoughts and concepts for our next collection……………..Watch this space!
