Giaroye provide opportunity for young people to tap into their creativity by having

Tee-Shirt workshop session in their local community.

During these workshops children were able to design their own tee-shirt which they were also able to take away and be proud of.

This workshop was completed at Haverstock School where fashion first became an interest to Gia Rahman

IT'S A GIRL THING..........GIAROYE IN THE COMMUNITY

Teenage girls in Kings Cross can join in a whole host of activities ranging from street
dance to health and beauty sessions, thanks to a new girls’ group at OneKX.
The group meets weekly to take part in fun and sociable activities and always welcomes new members. Children and youth programme manager at the centre, Stuart Woods
said: “We have an activity for an hour followed by a chill out session.
“We welcome any girls between 11 and 15 to come along and give it a try – there’s
no obligation to come back but many do.”
A local fashion designer, Giaroye, is currently hosting sessions which involve designing
and personalising clothes, logos and prints. The group meets every Friday evening at
OneKX on Cromer Street from 5-7pm. During the Easter holidays girls will get
the chance to try out their photography skills as part of a partnership project funded
by The London Transport Museum. You can get more information about

The Brief...........................

We went on the 17th, it was a mad one because it was just for the day only. The good thing was we achieved what we were set out to do..............The place is a heaven for those who love fabrics....

We also met a lot of suppliers who were all interesting but most of all we were very excited about the denim suppliers. This is because we have started doing research in to Denim jeans so keep you eye open for more updates........................

KT&Paul are a East London Textile Print Designers company, everything is Hand screen with high quality printing method. They are well known for there bold graphic prints in stunning colours. Giaroye has collaborated on a limited number of tee-shirts with their classic geometric graphic print. There are only 30 Tee-shirt in stock each tee-shirt is numbered from 1-30

It will be launched on our website on Monday the 5th of October

THE BEAUTIFUL GAME......WE CALL FOOTBALL

The Pro Touch Soccer Academy (PTSA) is an organisation run by local professional, football and youth-friendly people. The staff and management are highly skilled and offer a variety of experience. They range from Football Association (FA) coaches to qualified youth, sports and fitness workers in the field of school education and sports management. Among the staff and management team are coaches who have played professional schoolboy and apprentice football with teams including Arsenal FC, West Ham United FC and England Youth.

Giaroye are proud to be main Sponsor to the Academy and have been supporting the Academy since 2006. The Academy has grown since we started supporting the organisation with currently over eight young professional footballers hoping to make it in the game in the very near future.

It’s demonstrates the commitment Giaroye has made to grassroots community projects across Central London, which we aim to continue supporting this and various other worthy cause in the near future.
